Hi, I'm Rosa.
I am a long-time district resident and proud parent of a Homestead alum. I have 10+ years of experience as a teacher and principal of a local language school, and I have served on the FUHSD Board since 2018, including terms as Board Vice President and President. As a certified College Admissions and Career Planning Advisor, I have volunteered to provide free counseling for under-resourced students.
Over two terms, I've co-led campaigns to fund our public schools, represented FUHSD at the regional level, and guided our district through the pandemic. My priorities for a third term are to
(1) continue strengthening student mental health through the district's wellness programs;
(2) ensure FUHSD listens first and provides opportunities to match the diverse needs of our students;
(3) responsibly prepare students for successful careers in a world reshaped by AI.
Board service isn't a stepping stone for me — it's where I've already proven I can deliver. Our students remain my top priority.
